Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold - The Fafnir Knight is a continuation of the Untold spin-off series for Etrian Odyssey, an upgraded and enhanced version of the original Nintendo DS game Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard .
In this game, you play through the same story as Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard , but with some differences in plot compared to the new "Story Mode" in a separate part. You can either follow the standard characters and their stories or try the customizable option with different maps and plots.
The gameplay involves three difficulty settings for starting a new game: Picnic, Normal, and Expert. You can also transfer data from Classic Mode to Story Mode, allowing you to play through both modes with your progress.
