New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a platformer that takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach, but this time Mario is on a mission to collect as much gold as possible. The kingdom is filled with more gold coins than ever before, and players must navigate through levels to gather as many coins as they can.
The gameplay in New Super Mario Bros. 2 is fast-paced and action-packed. Players control Mario as he runs, jumps, and stomps on enemies to collect coins and complete levels. The addition of special gold enemies and coin-filled caverns adds a new twist to the classic platformer formula.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 was released for the Nintendo 3DS in July 2012.
