NBA Live 2000 is the latest game in the long-running series, with a focus on realistic basketball simulation rather than arcade-like gameplay. The game features Michael Jordan , who returns to the court after his retirement from basketball. Players can choose from all the players from the 1999-2000 NBA season, including rookies and All-Stars teams from past and present.
The gameplay in NBA Live 2000 is more dependent on executing the right moves at the right times, thanks to tweaks made to opponent AI. New moves have been added, and it's still possible to edit and create basketball players, as well as build your own team. This time around, you can also use any picture to serve as a player photo.
Aside from Michael Jordan , new features include a one-on-one street basketball mode, where you can test your skills against other players in a more relaxed environment. Additionally, there's a mode that allows management of a team for several seasons, including trading players and making strategic decisions to build a winning team.
