NBA Live 2000 brings back the basketball star Michael Jordan , with realistic facial animations and speech. The game features all the players from the 1999-2000 NBA season, including rookies, as well as All-Stars teams from past and present.
The gameplay in NBA Live 2000 focuses on realistic basketball simulation, rather than arcade-like action. New moves have been added to enhance gameplay, and opponent AI has been tweaked to make victory more dependent on executing the right moves at the right times. Players can edit and create their own basketball players, as well as build and manage their own team, a feature that's also present in previous NBA Live games.
A new addition to this installment is a one-on-one street basketball mode, allowing for a more intense and personal experience. Additionally, the game features a team management mode that lets players manage their team over several seasons, including trading players.
