NBA Live 99 is set in the 98/99 season, where you can build up your team over time or jump straight into the playoffs. You can trade, release, or pick up free agents to add to your team, and have fun with the 3 point shootout mode. The game also features new player animations, including facial animations and player moves.
Gameplay is all about basketball, where you'll compete against other teams in matches, trying to score more points than them. You can use a variety of skills and abilities, such as shooting, passing, and dribbling, to outmaneuver your opponents. The game also features a number of different modes, including a season mode and a tournament mode.
