The story follows your mission to destroy 6 enormous battle cruisers to save the planet, with only 15 days left before they reach it. If they succeed in their journey, the consequences will be catastrophic. Your trusty prototype ship, Steel Machine , has been developed to carry out this task.
The main objective is to find a way to destroy the main reactors of each battle cruiser by destabilizing them and causing the ship to blow up. However, the cruisers are heavily guarded with enemy defences that need to be destroyed first. Steel Machine is a horizontal shoot'em-up inspired by the classic Commodore 64 game Uridium , which was developed by Andrew Braybrook.
Steel Machine is one of the first CDi games to fully utilize the hardware, and controlling it is relatively straightforward.
