Days of Thunder is a simulation game that lets you experience the world of NASCAR racing. You play as Cole Trickle, a fictional driver inspired by real-life racers like Tom Cruise's character in the film adaptation. On 8 different tracks based on real-life ovals, you'll compete against your rivals, trying to be the fastest and outsmart them.

The gameplay involves qualifying for each race, where you try to get the best time to start in a good position. During the actual races, you need to maintain your speed while avoiding accidents or losing positions due to poor racing lines on certain tracks. You'll also have to manage your pit crew, controlling them as you pull into the pitstop area to refuel and make repairs.

Days of Thunder is available for the Amiga in 1990, allowing players to experience the thrill of NASCAR racing on a console that's familiar with fast-paced action games.
