Popeye 2 is a side-scrolling platform game where you play as Popeye. You can walk in any direction, punch, duck, and jump. Using the punch attack, you can break bricks. When they're broken, some of them will show spinach that you can collect. The amount of collected spinach determines how big your fist is. If an enemy hits you, your fist gets smaller again. You can collect a maximum of seven cans of spinach, which gives you a special ranged attack where you shoot spinach cans. If you lose all your spinach, you die.
The gameplay is fast-paced and challenging, with many obstacles and enemies to avoid. The level bosses are particularly tough, requiring you to use all your skills and spinny power to defeat them. With its simple yet addictive gameplay, Popeye 2 is a classic GameBoy game that's sure to please retro gaming fans.
