Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon is an action-adventure game that follows Lan, a young boy, as he teams up with his partner Mega Man to stop a new threat. An asteroid is heading towards Earth and a mysterious Navi called ShadeMan is terrorizing the Internet, sucking the life out of other Navis.

The gameplay involves exploring the Internet with Mega Man, battling viruses and interacting with other Navis. Lan can "jack in" to the Internet, taking control of Mega Man, while also dealing with real-world interactions. Players will need to use Battle Chips strategically to defeat enemies and progress through the game.

Soul Unison is a new feature that allows players to merge with certain Navis, becoming more powerful for three turns. However, this ability requires specific Battle Chips and can only be achieved by linking up with a copy of Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun . Players can also trade different Battle Chips and engage in Net Battles with friends.
