Whac-A-Mole is an action-packed adaptation of the arcade game, available on GameBoy Advance. At the screen, you have a 5x4 grid of holes (3x3 in the GBA version), where moles will randomly pop up their heads. The goal is to hit them before they disappear again.
The game features three different modes: arcade mode, puzzle mode, and quick play mode. In arcade mode , you must reach a certain amount of points within a time limit, with increasing difficulty as the levels progress. You'll encounter various mole types, including golden moles that give four times the points, and plush ones that deduct points. Ninja and bazooka moles will also appear, attacking your score.
Puzzle mode is available on both platforms, with different versions for DS and GBA. In the DS version, you recreate a shape by tapping moles of different colors. The GBA version offers two puzzle games: Tic Tac Toe and Peg Puzzle. For each mole you remove in Peg Puzzle , more moles will appear on the screen.
The game also features a quick play mode where you can specify how many levels to play and with what difficulty, making it easy for players of all skill levels to enjoy. The DS version supports multiplayer mode, adding an extra layer of fun to the game.
