THE ENCYCLOPEDIA GALACTICA
The Encyclopedia Galactica provides information about the various elements of the garden, and most importantly, it contains the Seed Book. To read about an item, highlight it and press A BUTTON or START. To go back, press B BUTTON.
SEED BOOK
The Seed Book keeps track of all the flowers you have discovered. Select a flower with A BUTTON to find out its likes, dislikes, and its character traits.
There are 6 possible traits a flower can have, indicated by these letters: I (Intelligence), S (Sound), Η (Heat), M (Movement), L (Light), and F (Friendship). In order to create new plants, cross-breed plants with different traits. If you cross plants with some or all of the same traits, you will receive a seed you already have.
HOW TO GROW A SEED
When your plants are fully grown, your friend the Space Bee will collect the plant's pollen. The bee turns orange when its carrying pollen. When the Space Bee goes to another plant, the pollen she is carrying will pollenate that plant, and a seed will be created. The bee can only carry pollen for so long, before it falls off and you have to try again. And when everything goes correctly, and you have obtained a new seed, E.T. will perform a celebratory dance.
PLANT SIGNS
Plants will let you know how they are doing by displaying icons. When you see these, give a plant what it needs.
The Basics:
•
I don't like my neighbor. Try a different combination of plants. Two of the same plant help each other grow.
•
Other signs include “Too Hot!”, “Too Cold!", "I Need Light!", “Too Much Light!", and "Hey! The Space Slug is trying to eat me!"
