The Grinch, THE GRINCH , is a game about the mischievous plans of the Grinch to ruin Christmas for the Whos of Who-Ville. After years of watching them celebrate, the Grinch has had enough and devises a plan to steal their presents.

The Grinch is an action-adventure game played on the GameBoy Color platform. The gameplay involves guiding the Grinch (or his dog Max in some scenes) through seven levels, each divided into several screens. The goal is to collect all the presents scattered around while avoiding being spotted by the Who-Ville citizens. With a limited number of attacks and a timer limit, the player must use strategy and stealth to complete each level.

The gameplay features a top-down perspective with houses that can be entered, timer icons to extend the time limit, and villager encounters that require the Grinch to flee or defend himself. The levels also feature driving sequences where the Grinch is behind the wheel of a small car, adding variety to the gameplay.
