Picross 3D: Round 2 is the sequel to a popular puzzle game that originally appeared on the Nintendo DS in 2009. Players are presented with three-dimensional nonograms, or "Picross", to solve.
The game introduces new challenges and features an increased level of difficulty. In addition to standard square blocks, there is now a possibility of two colored blocks appearing together. These blocks must be painted accordingly, as blue represents regular squares, while orange blocks take on unusual shapes and can only be correctly represented using dual numbering.
Incorrectly painted blocks or destroyed blocks with incorrect colors can result in penalties. A new feature allows players to flag uncertain blocks or clear entire rows and columns without worrying about individual blocks.
Those who own compatible Amiibo figures can use them to unlock additional puzzles.
