International Football is a football game licensed to former England player Peter Beardsley, viewed side-on. The European Championship tournament is the main playing option, but you can also choose from 8 teams representing the top 26 major European footballing nations at the time. Two players can compete in these groups, but there's no guarantee of getting straight to a 2-player game.
The gameplay features variable strength kicks, determined by how long you hold the fire button for. In this game, the ball ricochets back in the direction it came from when hit with any force other than a goal shot. Goalkeepers stay on the goal-line rather than using the whole penalty box.
