Pimp My Ride is based on the MTV series where people modify their cars with new features. The goal is to make your car look unique and earn money to buy a better one. You start with Xzibit's car and explore Pimp City, a five-borough area. You participate in mini-games to earn money and buy a new car. Once you've pimped out your ride, you can drive it around Pimp City, completing challenges and racing to progress through the game.
