GETTING STARTED
You begin on your bed in the bedroom. Have a look around the bedroom, and then walk out of the door, turn left, and find the playroom. Here you will find your friend Wakey Wakey. He'll show you some of the moves you can use, and how to get around in the DreamWorlds.
The DreamWorlds are accessed from various rooms in the house. After meeting Wakey Wakey you can explore the house, but the only DreamWorld you can enter at this stage is the Haunted Hi-jinks. Go upstairs to the attic and walk into the Wardrobe to enter the Haunted Hi-jinks.
Once you've entered the Haunted Hi-jinks DreamWorld you'll see a clock face, which is empty, and a platform in front of it. This clock face needs to be filled with 12 DreamKeys (0) in order for you to complete this DreamWorld and open up the next. DreamKeys are scattered across every level in each DreamWorld.
If you walk out of the first enclosure, turn left and walk a little bit further you'll see a small house. Walk up to the house and Wakey Wakey will tell you where you are. If you look closely you'll see images of two transparent Winks standing in front of the teleport.
Throughout the game the number of Winks placed at the entrance to each adventure indicates the number of Winks there are to be rescued in that DreamWorld. After Wakey Wakey has given you this information you may step into the teleport to be transported automatically to your first adventure.
When you save Winks they are returned to the DreamWorld via a teleport. DreamKeys are placed in the clock face by standing on the platform in front of it. Once you have recovered all twelve DreamKeys you may challenge Thread-Bear. If you can defeat him you'll be able to return to your house and move onto the next DreamWorld.
From time to time, Thread-Bear and his racing champion can be found in each DreamWorld hub. If you catch them, they'll challenge you to a race. The winner takes all, so make sure you pick up as many items as possible and beat the champion. You can race as much as you want, but be warned, it doesn't get any easier.
Now all you have to do is rescue the Winks, defeat Thread-Bear and Nitekap, and put a stop to their dastardly plans!
Costumes
In your dreams, you can change into different characters for a short time. Find a jack-in-the-box, open the lid and jump inside to become another character. You can tell what type of character you'll become by the symbol on the side of the box.
Each costume gives you a different special move, so experiment once you've got one on! When you see a token with your current costume's symbol on it, grab it to make the costume last longer!
Continue Point
Just walk right into the balloons you see in the dreams, and your continue point is set. If you lose all your Zzz's, and have at least one life left, you'll fall asleep again and return to this point to continue playing.
Winks
Walking right into a Wink will save him and automatically teleport him back to the DreamWorld hub.
Tokens
Collect 10 R Tokens (for Ruff) or 10 T Tokens (for Tumble) and you get an extra life!
