Detective Mouse is set in a fictional world where the player takes on the role of a mouse detective tasked with solving crimes. The game features a storyline inspired by a Dingo Pictures animated film, Ein Fall für die Mäusepolizei , which adds to the game's theme and atmosphere.
The gameplay in Detective Mouse is action-packed, as players navigate through levels, solving puzzles and avoiding obstacles. The game features six different sliding picture puzzles with varying difficulty options, as well as a coloring book mode for those who prefer a more relaxing experience.
Detective Mouse was initially released on the PlayStation console in 2003 and later ported to the PlayStation 2, where it received an updated version with additional features such as a jigsaw puzzle mode and a pair matching mini game.
