PGA Tour 97

Players can choose to play as one of fourteen professional golfers such as Fuzzy Zoeller and Jim Gallagher Jr. or create their own golfer by giving them a name and choosing what their golfer looks like from the available portraits.

The game features two 18 hole golf courses to play at, including Sawgrass and a unique course for each console version.

Gameplay involves selecting clubs, setting angles, pitch, and backspin before taking a shot. Players must then aim where they want their shot to go, considering the "Target Arc" power bar interface which affects shot accuracy and difficulty.

The game also features TV-style commentary and several camera angles, including picture-in-picture view.
