V2000 is a 3D space shooter based on the '80s game Virus, where aliens use a virus to corrupt creatures from different worlds by opening links between them.
The story of V2000 involves stopping these corrupted creatures and their hives, as well as rescuing local inhabitants. The player's goal is also to collect weapon upgrades by "beaming up" them during the mission.
Gameplay in V2000 focuses on destroying mutated creatures and their hives, while trying to rescue locals quickly. As players complete these objectives, they earn trophies that allow them to unlock new ships with improved abilities.
