Zapper is an action-packed adventure game where you play as a cricket on a quest to save your brother. You'll need to navigate through six worlds, each consisting of 20 levels, while avoiding obstacles and collecting eggs. Along the way, you'll encounter both helpful friends and pesky enemies that will aid or hinder your progress towards your goal: outsmarting Maggie, a cunning magpie with a penchant for building nests.

Gameplay revolves around Zapper's unique abilities – he can move in four directions, climb walls and trees to reach hard-to-access areas, and zap opponents using his electric antennae. With these skills, you'll need to carefully plan your approach to overcome challenges and defeat enemies, all while keeping an eye on the clock and navigating through treacherous terrain.
