Ballblazer is a futuristic soccer-like game where you control a Rotofoil on a one-on-one playing field. The objective is to kick a floating ball into the opponent's goal. You can compete against a human or computer opponent.
The Rotofoil has a multi-purpose forcefield that helps you play. When the Plasmorb is near, the forcefield pulls it towards you. When you shoot, it launches the ball. You must move down the field, use the joystick to gain possession, and blast the Plasmorb in the right direction.
The game requires strategy as the Goldbeams move every second and their distance from each other shrinks. The highest scoring goals are Over The Horizon shots. You can also steal possession by rushing beside your opponent and blasting the Plasmorb away. The game ends when time runs out or you win 10 consecutive goals. If it's a draw, overtime applies and the first player to score wins.
Goals near Goldbeams: 2 points
Over The Horizon shots: 3 points
You can also steal points from your opponent by making goals.
The total score cannot exceed 10 points.
