Chack 'n Pop is a platform action-adventure game where you control Chack'n , a yellow creature who must fight against Monstas and Mightas to get back the hearts stolen from him during his encounter with Miss Chack 'n Pop. The Monstas come out of eggs hanging from the ceiling, while the Mightas roll a rock that acts as the game's timer.
The Monsta eggs go through three phases: if they're blue, they're harmless; if they turn yellow, they'll pop within 10 seconds; and if they turn red, they'll explode almost immediately. Chack'n uses bombs to destroy the Monstas and their eggs, as well as release the hearts from their cages. When a heart is released, it will fly up and destroy the separator block, revealing the exit to the level.
The game contains 14 levels in most versions, but the Famicom version has only 9 levels to play through.
