Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is a platformer that follows the adventures of Ratchet, a furry alien creature, and Clank, a nerdy little robot. The story begins with the two protagonists on a quest to find Captain Qwark, who has gone missing, in order to ultimately help save the galaxy.
The gameplay involves exploring vast levels with detailed structures, which are visible at all times. The game also features prominently featured mini-games, such as space fights and turret shoot-outs, similar to Missile Command in first-person mode. With over twenty levels and a non-linear storyline, players must return to previous levels to complete objectives and choose between multiple paths forward.
