Ex-Mutants is an action-adventure game where you must stop the mutant Lord Sluggo. You and five companions are human and have the knowledge to restore humanity after a nuclear war. Your goal is to collect six genetically pure samples while rescuing your friends from Sluggo's wrath, navigating through 11 levels of the desolate wasteland known as Sluggtown.
The gameplay revolves around fighting against mutants and other enemies, using your battle axe to slash through hordes of foes. As you progress through the 11 levels, you'll need to conserve health and resources to overcome obstacles and defeat powerful bosses. The game's challenges will test your skills and strategy as you aim to save humanity from Sluggo's destructive plans.
