Golden Axe

The game takes place in a fantasy world where Death-Adder has kidnapped the King and his daughter, stolen the legendary Golden Axe, and taken over the land. The player must navigate through levels, fighting enemies and bosses to reach Death-Adder's stronghold. Each character has unique abilities that can be upgraded by collecting magical potions dropped by small creatures.

The gameplay is fast-paced, with a focus on bashing enemies and avoiding obstacles. Some enemies can be mounted and ridden, allowing for new attack opportunities. The game features a variety of enemies, including dragons and scorpion-like creatures. While the original arcade version allows two-player co-op, some conversions limit this feature or offer alternative gameplay mechanics.
