Hamster Heroes is an action game about controlling a hamster in a ball as it rolls through levels inspired by Super Monkey Ball. The gameplay is similar to Habitrail Hamster Ball, with the player guiding the hamster through floating environments with ledges and platforms. The objective is to reach the exit without falling off, completing each level before moving on to the next one.
The game features many levels, played in either 'normal' mode or 'time attack' mode. In 'time attack' mode, building speed without interruption increases the hamster's speed meter, causing it to move faster. The game also supports local multiplayer for up to four players, competing in split-screen racing on the same course.
