EA Sports' Madden NFL 08 features a new read and react system that allows you to exploit your opponents' weaknesses. The AI is also more improved, making the game more challenging for players of all skill levels. Additionally, the receiver control/lead block feature lets you play as a blocker to create holes in the defense and switch back to your runner to bust through.
The game includes new skill drills to help your player gain more stats in Madden NFL 08 's popular NFL Superstar mode. The Ring of Champion feature lets you design a ring when you complete certain achievements, such as winning the Super Bowl or winning the MVP. A new fantasy challenge mode allows you to draft any player you want and risk them in mini-games to create an elite superteam.
The game features commentary from John Madden and Al Michaels.
Madden NFL 08 was released on August 31, 2007, for the Wii console.
