Konami Classics Vol. 1 is a retail collection of three classic Konami games that were previously released as Xbox Live Arcade titles. Rather than registering as a single title, each game operates as an individual XBLA game with its own achievements. The included games are:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Frogger
Super Contra
The story for each game is a standalone one, with no connection to another. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night follows Alucard as he explores Dracula's castle in search of his mother. Frogger involves a frog named Frogger navigating through traffic and avoiding predators to reach its home. Super Contra follows Bill and Lance as they battle against an alien invasion.
The gameplay for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night , Frogger , and Super Contra varies between the three titles. In Castlevania, players control Alucard as he navigates through a vast castle, fighting enemies and collecting items. In Frogger, players must guide a frog across a busy road, avoiding cars and other obstacles to reach its home. Super Contra features fast-paced action as players control Bill and Lance as they battle against alien forces.
Konami Classics Vol. 1 is available on the Xbox 360, released on 12 December 2009 , a retail collection of three classic Konami games with online leaderboards, downloadable content, and multiplayer options. The included games feature Xbox 360 achievements and are individual XBLA titles.
