Supremacy MMA is a mixed martial arts fighting game that takes an arcade game approach, differing from contemporary titles like UFC Undisputed. The combat screen features a 2D stage perspective reminiscent of classic games like Street Fighter and Tekken, with a focus on the visual display of graphic violence, including fighters showing signs of injury.
The main game mode is called Supremacy Stories. Some characters are modeled after real world athletes, such as Jens Pulver, Jerome Le Banner, Malaipet and – as one of two female fighters – Felice Herrig. Supremacy MMA is notable for introducing female fighters to an MMA video game.
The game features classic VS battle and online modes, as well as a Supremacy Stories mode for each character. There are also two Tournaments modes: Battle Royale and Survival Ladder.
Supremacy MMA was released on the Xbox 360 console on September 23, 2011.
