Dr. Light had an idea: He would build a bunch of good and handy robots to help him and others to make the world a better place. One of these robots is named "Mega" and is designed to help Light around the lab in various tasks. One day, evil Dr. Wily attacks the lab and turns all of the robots evil too. All except Mega. Dr. Light sends Mega to stop these robots and thus, Mega Man Powered Up is born.
Mega Man: Powered Up is a semi-remake of the original game. There are two main modes: "Old Mode" where you tackle the adventure just like it was in the old days, with an added feature to save your game. The graphics are improved, but the level layout remains mostly the same with some minor changes. Then there's "New Mode", which features the original level themes and bosses, but with levels that have hidden areas and features that are hard to reach without special powers.
The third mode is the Challenge Mode, where you have 100 different challenges to complete, such as dispatching enemies within a time limit or reaching specific goals in a set amount of time. In addition to these modes, there's also a level editor that lets you create your dream Megaman level and play it or share it with others online.
