The year is 1996, and Assault Rigs has arrived on the Playstation. In this action-packed game, you play as a jockey for a virtual tank of massive firepower, called a Rig. Navigate through maze-like arenas with jumps, elevators, and movable blocks to overcome your opponents.
The setting is a violent virtual contest where physical sports have been replaced by high-stakes gaming and corporate cash is involved. Pick up power-ups to gain an advantage over other Rigs or Gems to advance through more than 40 levels. The game's graphics and ambiance are inspired by Tron, placing you in a wire-framed virtual environment.
The focus of Assault Rigs is not racing, but rather blowing your opponent to oblivion. You'll have access to mini guns, laser cannons, heat-seeking missiles, and shields, as well as the ability to experiment with flying missiles and shatterable ammo rounds for added firepower.
As you progress through the game, you can choose from different tanks (Rigs) to use in your struggle to survive. The game features 3D graphics with light sourcing and multiplayer features, making it a thrilling experience for players.
