The PlayStation version of Dune 2000 had largely the same content in terms of storyline and gameplay. However, unlike the original, it was powered by a 3D engine. It also had incorporated cheats, as well as support for the link cable (required for local multiplayer) and the PlayStation mouse.
The game is set in a distant future where humans have colonized other planets. The story follows Paul Atreides, a young noble who becomes embroiled in a bitter struggle for control of a desert planet called Arrakis, where a rare and highly valuable resource called melange is found. As the leader of a rebellion against the ruling powers, Paul must use his wits and cunning to outmaneuver his enemies and bring peace to the planet.
The gameplay in Dune 2000 is an action-packed mix of exploration, combat, and strategy. Players control Paul and his allies as they navigate through the desert landscape, battling against rival factions and completing objectives to progress through the game. The 3D engine allows for more immersive and detailed environments, while the cheats and multiplayer features add a layer of replayability and fun.
