ESPN MLS GameNight is a soccer simulation game that uses the same engine as ISS Pro Evolution, with both ESPN and MLS licensing. It is the only MLS game to have been released on the PlayStation.
The story in ESPN MLS GameNight revolves around the Major League Soccer season, where you'll participate in a full 32-game season, dealing with realistic injuries, unpredictable weather conditions, and mid-season trades. You'll earn eight points for each game you win, which can be saved up to buy superstar players.
The gameplay in ESPN MLS GameNight offers various modes of play. Match Play allows you to use any team for a quick, friendly Exhibition game. Season Mode lets you participate in the full season, while Custom League mode and custom-player options allow you to build up to 22 original players.
An adjustable difficulty level and training mode are also available, giving you more control over your gameplay experience.
