Project Overkill is set in a dystopian future where mega-corporation Terracom has initiated a plan to colonize and "unpopulate" planets deemed suitable for development. In response, a group of mercenaries is hired by a corporate leak to fight against the corporation's actions.

The game follows four ruthless mercenaries as they embark on over 50 missions with multiple paths to completion. The Playstation version features 3D rendered graphics in a 3/4 perspective, delivering intense and bloody gameplay.
