The game features five different towns to explore, where players must gather information from locals while avoiding hostile gang members who'll fire at anyone in their way. Players are armed with a gun that can kill enemies, but they must be careful not to accidentally shoot innocent civilians and face arrest and fines.
Inside a town, players can engage in activities like eating at restaurants, training at a dojo, and collecting vegetables to sell for money. The game also features a day-night cycle, which affects who the player encounters while exploring.
Some parts of the investigation lead the player into a side-scrolling action platformer section, where they must shoot enemies, collect items and money, and jump on springs to reach high platforms.
