Kamen Rider Black: Taiketsu Shadow Moon is a side-scrolling action platform game based on the science fiction television series of the same name. The player takes a role of Kotaro Minami , also known as Kamen Rider Black, with his living motorcycle Battle Hopper on some levels. He fights against the mysterious criminal group called Gorgom and their vicious mutants.
The game is divided into six stages, with the first three consisting of four rounds each, the next two of three rounds, and the last one dedicated to a final battle with Shadow Moon , the main antagonist. Each round ends with its own boss. The player has several special abilities to perform during his mission, but at the cost of health.
