WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is a professional wrestling video game that is based on the two brands of WWE, Raw and SmackDown.
The game features a new physics system that allows objects to be used more realistically in matches such as Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. This includes how tables break when hit, ladders being broken in half, and chairs being thrown at opponents for the first time.
The Hell in a Cell match has been revamped with added features like expanded cell walls, hidden weapons under the ring, steel steps near the poles, and no cell door. The game also introduces new ways to escape the steel cage.
The game's new "WWE Universe" mode replaces career mode from previous games. This mode builds storylines, integrates cut scenes and rivalries between wrestlers based on matches wrestled, and includes random appearances of these scenes before, during, and after matches.
Road to WrestleMania mode has been modified to include features like backstage roaming, mini-quests, and interactions with other Superstars. Playable storylines involve Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Christian, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, and a new storyline where players choose a created superstar or one of five others to end The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak.
