The game includes a Story Designer mode, where players can create their own storylines and characters. A custom character can still be created with the Create-A-Superstar tool, which now includes 3D apparel and decorations. The Create-A-Finisher feature has been updated to include aerial techniques, with jumping trajectory and speed customization.

The game features improved online multiplayer capabilities, including sharing and uploading content to YouTube in the PS3 version.
