WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is a professional wrestling video game based on the two brands of WWE, Raw and SmackDown.
The gameplay involves realistic physics, allowing objects to be used more realistically in matches such as Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. The tables now break differently depending on the impact placed upon them, while ladders can be rested onto the ring ropes and broken in half. For the first time, chairs can also be thrown at opponents.
The Hell in a Cell match has been revamped with expanded cell walls, weapons underneath the ring, and steel steps near the poles. New ways to escape the steel cage have also been added.
The game features a new "WWE Universe" mode, which replaces the career mode from previous games. This mode builds storylines, integrates cut scenes, and rivalries between wrestlers based on matches wrestled. These cut scenes appear randomly before, during, and after the match.
Road to WrestleMania mode has been modified to include new features such as backstage roaming, mini-quests, and interaction with other Superstars. Playable storylines involve Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Christian, Chris Jericho, and a storyline where players choose Kofi Kingston or create their own superstar to end The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak.
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 was released on the PlayStation 2 on 29 October 2010.
