In the world of Gear Works , you find yourself in a challenging top-down puzzle game where your objective is to link together red cogs at different parts of the screen using gears of various sizes. The twist is that the pegs on the grid become less complete as you progress through the levels, adding an extra layer of complexity to the task. You must work against time to ensure all the cogs are linked before the engine overheats.
However, you're not alone in this challenge. Two creatures known as "Poffins" will try to make life harder for you. One Poffin will remove pegs from the grid, while the other will cause the engine to overheat even further. You can either shoot them out of the way or place gears over them to stop them in their tracks.
The game features a bonus round where you get to spin a fruit machine-inspired wheel filled with cogs and other items from the game. The goal is to link these items together to win rewards. With its unique blend of puzzle-solving and action-adventure elements, Gear Works offers an engaging experience for fans of top-down games.
