Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game where you play as a loving fiancé and father of two kids who secretly lives as an octopus in a suit. Your main goal is to complete everyday tasks like preparing for the wedding, but one person knows your secret, a crazy chef who's looking for sushi...
The gameplay is challenging, especially when coordinating movement with each limb controlled separately. The physics simulation can be oversensitive, resulting in chaos and slapstick moments. However, making a mess when others are around fills up a suspicion meter that eventually leads to recognition and game over.
Once you complete the campaign, you can replay the six levels to find hidden secrets or beat the developers' best time. In co-op mode, each player controls one limb, with fewer than four participants allowing for two-player control. The level editor is available on the Windows version only, but user-created levels can be played on Macintosh and Linux.
