Zero Time Dilemma , a visual novel for the Playstation Vita, takes place in a world where humans and robots coexist. The story follows three main characters: Akane Kanzaki, a robotics engineer; Shuichi Ritsu, her colleague; and Keiichi Mikazuki, a high school student. They become trapped on a mysterious island known as the "Island of Time", where they must navigate through puzzles and challenges to survive.

Gameplay in Zero Time Dilemma is primarily focused on making choices that affect the story's outcome. Players control one of the three main characters, interacting with other characters and exploring the island. The game features a branching narrative, where player decisions lead to different story paths. The ultimate goal is to uncover the secrets behind the island and escape before time runs out.
