Hard Drivin' , released for the Sega Genesis in 1991, is a racing game where you control a high-performance sports car. Your goal is to race around the course as fast as possible and hit checkpoints to gain extra time. Be cautious of traffic on both sides of the road, as passing can be hazardous.
The game features two sections: the speed track and the stunt track. The speed track is longer but allows for higher speeds, while the stunt track requires performing stunts like jumping over bridges and driving through loops.
Crashing your car results in a cinematic replay of the crash, showing the damage from various angles. While it's not a serious consequence, it does cost you time as you recover and get back up to speed.
Hard Drivin' 's home conversions for the Sega Genesis retain most of the 3D graphics but lack the force-feedback from the arcade version.
