PGA Tour Golf , released on 1991 , was a groundbreaking golf game that introduced many conventions still seen today. The three-click control method allowed for precision shots and required timing to execute.
The game featured four courses, including one fantasy "links" course designed by the programmers, with challenging holes that demanded strategy. Each hole presented unique obstacles such as bunkers, water hazards, and trees.
Playing a tournament pitted players against 60 opponents, each representing top US golfers. One golfer provided tactical advice for each hole, adding an extra layer of realism to the game.
