The Earth is under threat from frequent alien attacks, and its government relies on the Heavy Dolls cyborgs for defense. The most skilled of these cyborgs are known as the Heavy Nova , a title earned by passing a rigorous training regime.
You take control of a Heavy Nova character as you progress through two styles of simulated proving grounds. In the first section, your goal is to navigate through a hostile environment filled with enemies, bombs, and traps while gaining points for speed and energy left. Initially, you can fly and kick as needed.
The game's second section features one-on-one combat inspired by Street Fighter 2. The early opponents have less energy than your starting level, but as you progress through the game, you're awarded extra attacking moves in a similar style to Brutal: Paws of Fury .
Heavy Nova was released on the Sega Genesis in 1992 and is an action-adventure game that challenges players with its unique blend of speed and combat.
