Gameplay involves navigating through various stages, defeating enemies and bosses with his trusty spear. Imoto can use his spear to attack enemies in two different ways: thrusting or spinning. He also has access to five magic spells, such as Thunder and Flame, which can kill all enemies on the screen. The player can carry up to four scrolls of each spell, which can be replenished by finding items throughout the stages.
