California Games II
Welcome back to California - land of Fun and Games! Get ready for the ultimate sequel: California Games II. It's time for "fun in the sun" as you play five totally new events.
First, you'll try Hang Gliding at San Francisco's Fort Funston, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Next, you'll face the challenge of outlaw Skateboarding down the aggro-cultural California Aqueduct. Then, you'll hike up to the top of Mt. Shasta for a wildly out-of-control Snowboarding run all the way back down to Lake Shasta.
After that, you'll compete in the Santa Cruz Bodyboarding Invitational. Finally, you'll take your surfjet out into Monterey Bay for the Santa Cruz Jet Surfing Competition.
Objectives
California Games II is a game for one to eight players. The object of the game is to score well and earn as many points as possible in every event.
The player with the most points at the end of a competition joins the Most Excellent Dudes (or Dudettes) list. Zak is the guru who hands out the points. He lets you know how you're doing and tells you if you are boring him. Practice to improve your skills in each event, compete with your family and friends, and soon you could be the number one Most Excellent Dude.
In competition, if you break the record for an event, California Games II records your name and the new high score on the Most Excellent Dudes screen. Once you turn off your Super NES, Zak becomes the Most Excellent Dude again.
Most Excellent Hints
•
Repeating the same stunt or trick will gain you extra points, but repeat it more than 3 times and you will score low points because Zak gets easily bored.
•
All events are timed. In Snowboarding, each of the 3 sections (Black Diamond, Snow Bowl, Obstacle Course) is timed separately. Zak will warn you when time is low and will award no more points when time runs out.
•
An extra bonus is awarded for completing the event.
