The gameplay involves fighting against these foes using various guns and gadgets, such as a jet pack, electronic whip, or grappling hook. Most of the time is spent on battles, but there are also puzzles that require the use of Mooch, a fly, which can be summoned to help in different situations.

Throughout the game, players can collect computer chips and hidden disks, which can be used to upgrade Darwin's weapons or health. Additionally, there's an option to switch to infrared view and scan objects for extra information.
