The game features three mini-games: magic duels, brewing potions, and quidditch. In magic duels, players must recreate spell movements using their input device to defeat opponents. Quidditch is a reaction test where the player controls Harry's broom as it flies through rings or avoids obstacles.

Brewing potions requires players to recreate recipes using ingredients in the correct order before time runs out. Making mistakes results in smoke, costing valuable time. With these challenges and others, players must master the magical world of Hogwarts.
