Rayman 3 has put the world in danger when Globox, a friend of Rayman, eats the Lord of the Dark Lums. This event has enraged the Hoodlums, who plan to take back their master at any cost.
The goal is for Rayman to save the day and find a cure to rid the Dark Lord from Globox. Rayman 3 follows in the footsteps of its Game Boy predecessors, offering traditional side-scrolling platformer gameplay. The main objective is to reach the end of each level, but there are various collectibles that contribute towards 100% completion.
The game includes additional items to collect, which can only be obtained by replaying levels with new abilities unlocked during gameplay. These power-ups allow Rayman to wield items like Heavy Metal Fist and Shock Rocket to defeat enemies, as well as the Lock Jaw ability to access hard-to-reach areas. The Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3 features a link port, enabling players to transfer data between their GBA and GameCube consoles, unlocking exclusive mini-games and downloadable content.
